This document summarizes important aspects (structure, contents, layout, tables, figures, formulas, citations, references) of the preparation of degree theses. At the same time, this document can also be used as a template for such theses. The document has been developed at the Chair for Electromagnetic Compatibility at the Institute of Medical Engineering.

Gleichzeit kann das Dokument auch direkt als Vorlage für solche Arbeiten benutzt werden. Das Dokument wurde am Lehrstuhl für Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit am Institut für Medizintechnik entwickelt.

This template applies the brandeis-dissertation class that will enable the user to typeset a dissertation that adheres to the formatting guidelines of Brandeis University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS).

This utmthesis class was first created back in 2006. Since then, thanks to the various contributors over the years, it has matured into this.
