RADMAP: A Computational Proposal for Electromagnetic Field Pollution Maps in Colombia
RADMAP: A Computational Proposal for Electromagnetic Field Pollution Maps in Colombia
In this paper we propose a first version for a computational proposal for Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Pollution for the construction of calculated maps, as a visualization tool for estimating the levels of human exposure to potentially harmful levels of electromagnetic radiation. The computational model includes the necessary mathematics for estimating levels of exposure in any two dimension space point in a map, given a massive set of emitters and its relevant parameters, but also contains adjust considerations using a data set of field measures that would allow the model to adapt to real environmental conditions. This combination of mathematical model and field data also will allow us to skip the use of interpolations an other statistical methods typically used in maps based exclusively on measures. The proposal also specifies the system main features and development methodology in order to achieve an interactive and flexible tool.

Automobile Suspension Design
Automobile Suspension Design
Vibration control is crucially important in ensuring a smooth ride for vehicle passengers. This study sought to design a suspension system for a car such that its mode of vibration would be predominantly bouncing at lower speeds, and primarily pitching at higher speeds. Our study used analytical and numerical methods to choose appropriate springs and dampers for the front and rear suspension. After an initial miscalculation, we succeeded in arriving at appropriate shocks for the vehicle with the desired modes of vibration at the specified frequencies. We then assessed the maximum bouncing and pitching that the vehicle would experience under a specific set of conditions: travel at 40 km/hr over broken, rough terrain. Our testing showed moderate success in our suspension design. We successfully damped the force being transmitted to both the front and rear quarter car somewhat, while ensuring that the modes of vibration fell into the desired shapes at the desired frequency ranges.

Security Systems : Facial Recognition using MATLAB
Security Systems : Facial Recognition using MATLAB
Biometric refers to the automatic identification of a person based on his or her physiological and individual characteristics that can be easily verified. Among the featured measures of this system are face, fingerprint, speech recognition, retinal and signature etc. To fortify the actual presence of a real trait against a fake self-generated sample biometric system is used. In this research paper, the focus is laid on basic techniques for security system. Face recognition. In face recognition, facial recognition algorithms identify facial features by extracting landmarks, or features, from an image of the subject’s face. [1]We can apply it to the servo motors using train database and test database. If the data matches the train database, it sends the command to the servo motors which in turn will open the door. [2]The UI displays ACCESS ACCEPTED or ACCESS DENIED based on the recognition using test and trained databases. This system is implemented using MATLAB.
