This document provides an introduction to the \textbf{JIBLM} journal package.
As stated under the \emph{Information for Authors} at \emph{www.jiblm.org},
this downloadable template is designed to be self-explanatory,
using standard LaTeX commands and allowing the author to see the formatting exactly as
an accepted manuscript will appear in the journal. The form \texttt{template.tex} serves two purposes:

\item It is a guide to typesetting your course notes in JIBLM format using \LaTeX.
\item It is a template to be modified to produce your print ready submission to JIBLM.

This is a mandatory introduction to your course notes. For your convenience, we repeat here
the \emph{Information for Authors} from the website.
Because notes are intentionally brief, it is essential that they be written in a manner that will be usable by other
instructors. For this reason, we ask that you include an introduction that will provide instructors
with a clear understanding of how you have used these notes. This should be a description of the
course you taught, which includes:
\begin{itemize}
\item its level and role within the broader curriculum,
\item your expectations and grading of the students,
\item any unusual characteristics of the class or classroom,
\item the approximate class size(s), and
\item other information that will be useful to a less-experienced instructor.
A well-written introduction will minimize the instructor's need for further guidance from you.

\section{Getting Started}
The base requirement is a \LaTeX{} distribution. Once you have this, place the following
three files from \emph{www.jiblm.org/jiblm/info/authorinfo.aspx} into your working directory.

\item \texttt{JIBLM.tex} -- This is the file containing additional \LaTeX{} commands
beyond those of the standard book class in order to typeset a JIBLM document. You should not need
to edit this file.
\item \texttt{template.tex} -- This file contains the text you are currently reading.
\item A copy of \texttt{template.tex}, named \texttt{myfile.tex} or whatever you like.
\end{enumerate}

You are now ready to edit \texttt{myfile.tex} which will become your submission.

\section{Student and Instructor Versions}\label{ch:annotation}
You may wish to communicate with two different audiences, the students who
will study the materials and the instructors who will teach from the materials.
The \verb|\annotation| environment enables you to create one document that serves
as both a student and an instructor version. By toggling a single comment in the preamble,
text and mathematics which is encased within the environment will be removed or restored
upon compilation, providing two versions from the same document. Usage guidelines follow.

\item To change versions, toggle the comment symbol between the following two lines in \texttt{myfile.tex}.

separate from the material to be annotated, with no starting spaces or characters of any type

\item Numbered sequences should be handled with caution
since the automatic numbering of Chapters, Theorems, Equations, etc., is recalculated when

such as comments within the theorem sequence, you may wish to add annotations
to the instructor as footnotes throughout the text which can be made to appear as a chapter-like
component at the end of the document.

Theorem environments for declarations are provided and are numbered globally.

\section{Packages, Commands, Styles, and Libraries}

\item The current Journal Style does not contain any packages which support graphics content.
To include this facility, place a \verb|\usepackage{pkg-choice}| command directly after
the first command line in your text file, \verb|\include{JIBLM}|. Popular packages available
include \texttt{graphics}, \texttt{graphicx} and \texttt{epsfig}.
\item The following sectioning commands are available:

This collection provides for most of the commonly used mathematical typesetting tools to be
