Macquarie University is providing Overleaf Professional features for all students, faculty and staff who would like to use a collaborative, online LaTeX editor for their projects. Overleaf Professional features include real-time track changes, unlimited collaborators, and full document history.
Overleaf is designed to make the process of writing, editing and producing your research papers and project reports much quicker for both you and your collaborators. Overleaf can also be linked to other services to best fit into your workflow.

Overleaf provides an intuitive and easy-to-use manuscript editor (our rich text mode), which is especially useful if you or your co-authors aren't familiar with writing in LaTeX.
If you prefer to edit directly in LaTeX, you can! Overleaf provides a full collaborative online LaTeX editor you can switch to at any time.
Submitting your articles to journals, repositories and more
You can also submit your paper directly to a number of journals and other editorial and review services via the publish menu in the editor. Simply open the publish menu from any document and follow the appropriate 'Submit to ...' link.

This is a basic journal article template which includes metadata fields for multiple authors, affiliations and keywords. It is also set up to use the lineno package for line numbers; these can be turned on by adding the 'lineno' option to the documentclass command.

This template shows how you can use the apa6 package to write a manuscript in the style of the sixth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, which is widely used in the social sciences. The template includes an example bibliography that shows how to automatically generate APA-style citations and bibliography entries. Please see the apa6 package documentation for more information.
This is a skeleton file demonstrating the use of the IEEEtran.cls style with an IEEE journal paper, and with example bibliography files included. These bibliography files are includes to provide one example of how to set up a bibliography for your IEEE paper. Template for submissions to Elsevier journals using the elsarticle.cls (v3.4c) document class. Please use and set your project's main document to one of the following, depending on the citation scheme you need: elsarticle-template-num.tex, template file for numerical citations elsarticle-template-harv.tex, template file for name-year citations elsarticle-template-num-names.tex, template file for numerical citations + new natbib option. Eg. Jones et al. [21]
This example shows how to create citations in footnotes using biblatex. Biblatex automatically formats references and citations, much like BibTeX, but biblatex is more robust and more powerful. You can (almost certainly) use your existing .bib databases with biblatex, it comes with a wide variety of styles built in, and it's much easier to write your own custom styles. In this example, we use the verbose-ibid style to generate footnotes with automatic “ibid.” abbreviations. For a full list of styles, see the user guide in the biblatex manual.
The following examples show how to produce Harvard style references using biblatex. See this post on TeX StackExchange for further discussion on the Harvard referencing style, and this post for more details on switching to biblatex if you're more familiar with e.g. natbib.

This sample is a guideline for preparing technical papers using LaTeX for manuscript submission for all Journals of OUP*. This sample article uses a class file named ouparticle.cls that authors should use for their manuscript preparation. It is similar in use to the article class file of LaTeX, but has some extra fields in the preamble and some extended commands for other parts of the article. *Note: this template is from 2009, and we recommend checking the latest author guidelines for your intended target OUP journal before starting to prepare your manuscript.
