ALPSP Award Finalist Overleaf

Exciting news! Overleaf has been shortlisted for the 2015 ALPSP award for Innovation in Publishing!

This is a great way to start the second half of a year which has already seen some major new platform developments (e.g. offline editing support via Git) and partnerships (e.g. with the Genetics Society of America) alongside the launch of our new Overleaf for Institutions service now in use university-wide at world leading institutions such as Stanford University and more.

This also comes hot on the heels of Overleaf co-founder Dr John Hammersley being named as one of this year's Rising Stars by the Bookseller, and is a testament to all the hard work the team has put into developing Overleaf into the platform it is today, serving over 200,000 authors around the world.

Chair of the judging panel, Richard Gedye, observed:

'Scholarly publishing provides an increasingly complex service and this was reflected in the quality of this year's submissions. After careful consideration, the panel has selected a shortlist which they believe includes some of the most innovative projects and services today.'

Audrey McCulloch, Chief Executive of ALPSP noted:

'The ALPSP Awards allow us to shine the spotlight on some of the best new initiatives in our industry and demonstrate how rapidly publishing is evolving in line with the needs of today's scholarly community.'
